Do come and support our exhibition in republic polytechnic’s library room. We’ve worked hard on this fyp together through the mistakes, pain, fights, hardwork, overtime moments, meetings about ideas, concept work and hands-on work.

Oh, I think this video could really set the mood. It’s true this is a cover of Nine Inch Nails’, but he really did make it his own.

UPDATES DUE A LONG TIME AGO

Just in case you’ve been following us, the breaking news is that we aren’t dead.

In contrary, we’re moving up the ladder of progress slowly but surely.

Photos of our box progress will come soon, but for now here’s some bad news; Filming on the 14th November has to be reshot. Alot of things went wrong for our part. But even through errors we learn our way back to doing it right.

Stacy was excellent as an actress. We really extend our most hearty thankfulness to  her for putting up with the sun, our bad directing, and our long discussions.

Do visit her portfolio, she’s a really good designer.  I personally like her work, The Girl & The Goldfish.

I’m having a slight technical difficulty with the uploading of images to wordpress now, and I can’t really bother with it today because I’m  rushing the storyboard for tomorrow. f**k opera explorer. sometimes.

We’ll be filming today too, so wish us luck. again

God, it takes so long to find out how to post vimeo videos on wordpress. Thank god for forums.

Some videos that I think we could take some inspirations from. Like this one for the our shadow box? If we had to limit ourselves to stop motion.

Greenscreen Effect works wonders huh?

Caleb here. first time blogging on this ever since fyp 1. bear with me.

Over the last 72 hours we have, as a team, pored over concepts, settled texturing for the main stuff, poured overagain  and edited our concepts, toured the whole of Sagacity for materials, scared each other silly around Shun Li Industrial Complex, racky the potential sites for our filming, and finally, spend a good fifteen minutes or so @ Macritchie Reservoir planning for the times ahead.

Progress is felt and seen, but more awaits us, and the time ticks faster than ever. We still have a list of  many things to do.

People reading this, anyone has any reccomendations on wiring LED lights to manipulate its brightness? Comment us yaaaaaaaaaaa.

Time for peektures. Peektures, I say, because it’s a PEEK of the StrucTURES! GETTIT? GETTIT?

okay fine so you don’t.

So I’ll just let the images speak for itself

our concepts for our shadowboxes.

box template Based on Gary’s Concept, the box of Denial.

BT - AngerBased on Meiteng’s Concept, the box of Anger

bargaining box layout Based on Kim’s Concept, the box of Bargaining

boxxy Based on my Concept, the box of depression

(Box number Acceptance is a video, but the storyboard will be uploaded soon. I just need to dig around my bed abit.)

Many thanks to my mom for helping me find some inspirations.

IKEA-cover I’ll like to thank Ikea for making room for ideas. Layout of the cover really helped in a small but significant way.

Japan-Cover My mom dug up this old secondhand post WWII history book of singapore that she bought for a bargain. Along with the gruesome and sad images, it was a good reference for old damaged textures.

Here are some samples.

old docs old docs 001old docs 002Can’t say that you aren’t inspired by old damaged photos.

Well that’s all for now, I think I’ve overspammed on this post. More photos will be coming soon so keep visiting our site.

Cheerio!
